I apologize for the lack of posts lately, as you may or may not know this is a labor of love and I have been really really busy with my social life. I’ll try harder.
Last night i was in the house to see the Knicks play one of the best games they have played this year. They looked really good last night, things are starting to click. The bench came up big courtesy of Nate’s agressiveness to go to the hoop and strong shooting (20 points, 4 assists, 1 screaming chest pound) as well as Al “out of control” Harrington’s 17 points and 8 rebounds. But the night belonged to David Lee. He had 25 and 16 and is clearly becoming the teams most consistent player. I say sign the guy ASAP and cut back in other areas for the 2010 shopping spree. He has turned it up a notch lately and it’s becasue he’s a team guy and to boost his free agent status. Let’s give him his 10 million and make a New Yorker for years to come.
Now back to the game. It’s no secret that i am a big Shaq fan. The diesel has changed the modern game and forced teams to change their strategy, you have to respect that. And last night made happy he was still around because he was to slow to keep up with the fast paced offense and was caught several times not able to make it down court and by the give and go of Duhon to Lee. But he did’nt bitch out. He did keep going in strong and toward the end of the game brought it right to Tim Thomas with a moosh to the face (more on that later). But it wasn’t enough. Strong shooting and clutch foul shots down the stretch sealed the deal.
Knicks 114- Suns 109
Extra shout out to some of friends Tony Flip, Keri and Beardo who out of the blue had the seats down the aisle from me. Always makes New York feel like a small town when things like that happen.
