Those were the words used by all star hopeful D Lee to describe last’s nights bench play. The bench racked up 50+(59 last night) points for the second night in a row. Topped off with Lee’s 31st double of the year the Knicks, just another day at the office, the Knicks were looking sharp.
They beat the team they were suppose to beat, and covered. A great home stand as the boys go 3-1 with the only loss to a resurgent Sixers team.They will look for payback tonight in Philly as the Sixers welcome back Elton Brand. If he gets substantial minutes it could work in the Knicks favor and slow them down.
On another note Mike Dantoni commented on David Lee’s strong first half performance and his opinion on getting an all star nod. Before the game he said “Coaches shouldn’t vote for someone because they owe me a favor, so I don’t do it” and i agree with him. You just gotta hope that the rest of the league is taking notes and coaches are paying attention. Look for him to get a big push from the NY media and fans to head out to Phoenix.
