Ok i may be a little late to have found out about this little morsel of info, but….Apparantly Al Harrington and Stephen Jackson have their kicks and streetwear line called Protege. I Got the flyer coming out of the Garden after last weeks PHX game and just peeped their site. Honestly, the kicks aren’t that bad for a small start up considering they are doing it all by themselves. We all know this can turn out real bad and maybe even cause a company to go bankrupt.

But yeah, back to topic, some of this stuff is actually wearable. Decent marketing strategy in that they’re trying to make them affordable in the $45-70 price range as well. Can check out the site here, but be warned it is extremely hard to navigate and the design is more out of control then some of Al’s behind the back dribbling drives to the basket. Their web/ graphic guy is definitely on good crack to come up with a military-spy-tech-thuglife-1001 typeface-cia design style. If the Somali pirates have a secret website to trade info and plot their next heist, it probably looks exactly like this.

Tied after 1. Down by ten at the Half. Down by 4 after 3. Then the knicks started to get some life and took a 4 point lead and for about 6 minutes in the fourth we got some quality basketball and it seemed possible that they could pull a W against one of the top teams in the west. Then Melcame alive. Hitting 5 straight shots and making it look easy. Way too easy. 5 straight jumpers or driving shots that gave the Nuggets an 8 point point lead and took all the confidence the Knicks had up until that point away. They continue to look weak in the all important 4th and it doesnt seem to be getting any better.

To be honest they looked scared down the stretch. The ball wasn’t moving smoothly between the players and several times they had to rush their shot just to beat the shot clock. And that won’t work under the Dantoni system. We need someone to who can step up and take control and a few weeks ago I thought that would be a Al Harrington, but lately he hasn’t stepped up. He has to learn to drive and shoot. The power dribbles, followed by an out of control behind the back dribble that usually just turns the ball over, need to be tamed. Too often he ends up making a turnover or taking a sloppy shot. The percentage just isn’t their and it has to get better to make the trades look like they make sense. The guy has boxing in his blood and needs to show that determination and fight that we saw in the New jersey game and during the west coast trip.

Well trash talk is surely on the menu today, as the Knicks try not to get embarrassed again.
I hope Quentin finally backs up all his talk. It also looks like new Knicks – Al Harrington jumped in with some shit talking with “They’re doing a lot more woofing this year”.
This is sure to be an entertaining game.

We’ll see what happens as they try to stop Boston’s streak at 17.

To no ones surprise NYK Al Harrington was just named the Eastern Conference player of the week. He had a few big games topped off with his homecoming against the Nets where he dropped 39. Other awards he got last week were:

- Most psycho cross eyed looking dude on the team

- Ball hog of the week

- Most out of control drives to the basket

- most amount of funny top of head wrinkles in the NBA

For real, congrats to Al and am really looking forward to him being with us for a while. He’s a talented player who likes to get physical and has enough deficiencies to allow us dis him. Just what we need around here.
