No that’s not a picture of a buttnut from Chelsea throwing a hissy fit because there are no more curtains available at the local bed bath and beyond. Its the Bobcats very own Larry Brown looking like a little whiny bitch and making Pharell very very jealous with his urban retro crazy sweater all at the same time. He hay have gotten one up on us by coming into the Garden and whooping us last night 114-105 and took a slight shot at Nate, but we’ll get the last laugh by digging up an old pic from you in the ABA that shows your true colors and hopefully by beating them out to grab that last playoff spot.

The New York Knicks (24-32) welcome The Orlando Magic (41-15) and Dwight Howard to the Garden tonight for the first time this year.
I’m looking for a good performance from the squad tonight, as the Stephon Marbury saga is now in the rearview mirror.

I hope the team is up to the challenge tonight and can capitilize on the fact that The Magic been struggling a bit lately. They are coming in after the loss to the Chicago Bulls last night (120-102). Dwight Howard led the way as usual with 26 points. He of course will be the force that we need to stop. Hopefully Nate can poster-ise Howard in a real game this time.

I have a feeling that this is going to be an exciting game.

Oh yeah in other news The Knicks beat The New Orleans Hornets 101-95 last night in a hard fought game.
They return to New York from their 1-3 road trip to play the wiz kids.

This one was the Garden faithful who haven’t seen a win against the Celtics at home since Herb Williams was the coach, for Quentin Richardson and David Lee for having to put up with all trash talk, that pizza guy who famously threw his jersey on the court after a dismal pounding by the Celtics on the road and the rest of New York who can’t stand Beantown having the upper hand over us.
Granted it wasn’t a playoff game and it’s still January, but this win seemed to mean something for all the reasons above and one more….they have a chance to build off of this. It’s the biggest win for D’Antoni’s kids so far, and once again defense was the reason. Even though he looks like he may be on crack, Jared Jeffries long arms created havoc for notoriously good roller skater Rajon Rondo and forced him to shoot 1 for 7 and the team held the Celtics to their 4th lowest point total of the season.

“If we can beat them we can beat anybody” Chandler said after scoring a career high 31 points. In the third quarter he matched the Celtics point for point with 15, his breakout performance as a Knick for sure. Other standouts where David Lee who had 14 and 14 with a few monster dunks and Al Harrington 30 off the bench.
It’s been almost 20 games since the cap room trades, enough time for a team to gel and know who they are. Over the these next four games we will get to see if the win meant anything to them. Are we contenders or lottery pickers? This is the biggest test of the season and will tell us exactly what type of team we have. Stay tuned, with all the trade rumors and Steph madness swirling around the city, things are going to be intense in New York once again.

With the onslaught of bad weather in Tri-State last night it seemed like a great idea to hit up Madison Square Garden and welcome back the Knicks from their 1-2 west coast trip. Man was i disapointed. To start Al Harrington was late because someone jacknifed their tractor trailer on the Hutch and he must have forgot what traffic is like around here during a snowstorm. Come on Al, your from Jersey, give yourself a little extra time to get to work when their’s a snow and ice storm please.

I give him credit though because when he did arrive he came in and dropped a few quick 3’s and jumpers to help us get on a little run. Other than that their was little offense and horrible passing. I’m not sure how many total turnovers the team had but it seemed like every time someone drove to the basket they didn’t look for their shot and instead passed it to the guys wearing the red and green elf costumes. The highlight of the night was early in the game when Nate had a great block against Michael Redd. Jerome “BIG SNACKS” James getting a basket for the first time in 2 years that gets honorable mentions for the mock cheers, damn he sucks.

Overall I got better entertainment from my date, the Red Panda at halftime and the dance off between Santa Claus and Dancing Grandpa then the Knickerbockers last night.

Knicks Lose 105- 81
