Everyone knows i’m a Kobe hater, but props to him and his supporting cast for taking the trophy this year. I cannot remember a team without a second dominant player winning a championship. I don’t know, maybe i’m selling Gasol short, but in my book Kobe made a huge statement this year.

I was rooting for the Magic but Stan Van Grumpy managed to fuck it all up by letting Jameer Nelson back into the lineup. Results were that no flow on offense and the team never got into a groove. The Van Gundy bros are still titleless. Next time Jeff should get out there and hump someones leg to get his team amped.

Tonight’s game should have been a true test for our playoff run against a team ahead of us in the standings. But with the Wolves number 2 scorer Donald Foye twisting his shit up last night, they may be without him and not all full speed. Gonna be hard for them regardless, especially with the shooting, passing and turnover woes that Du has been going through lately.

I agree with him that its just a funk, he will get through it, he is a good player. A good start would be taking a few more layups instead of passing the ball out when he gets to the basket. He gets open under the basket a lot more than he thinks and looks to pass first ALL of the time. Gotta put some of them in the basket. 2 extra baskets for this team can mean games.

at Clippers March 25th: Win. Nate gets his revenge with a high scoring game AND a win.

CLASSIC 40 OUNCES

With Dantoni announcing the boys will win 40 this year it got me thinking about beer, it is Friday after all. The last time i heard this much talk about 40’s i was 15. You can officially add the New York Knicks to the likes of Country Club, Ballentine, O Gold, Colt 45, Cobra, St. Ides and my personal favorite coming in a the super value recesion beater price of .99 cents, Laser! Shiiiit, back then 40 was a low total of wins and 2 for 18 was the unlucky number.

The New York Knicks (24-32) welcome The Orlando Magic (41-15) and Dwight Howard to the Garden tonight for the first time this year.
I’m looking for a good performance from the squad tonight, as the Stephon Marbury saga is now in the rearview mirror.

I hope the team is up to the challenge tonight and can capitilize on the fact that The Magic been struggling a bit lately. They are coming in after the loss to the Chicago Bulls last night (120-102). Dwight Howard led the way as usual with 26 points.  He of course will be the force that we need to stop. Hopefully Nate can poster-ise Howard in a real game this time.

I have a feeling that this is going to be an exciting game.

Stephon Marbury was waived Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, by the New York Knicks, ending a turbulent five-year stint in which the former All-Star couldn’t lead his hometown team to a single playoff victory. Marbury is one of the highest-paid players in the NBA, set to make close to $21 million this season, but has not played a game for new coach Mike D’Antoni.

Well this is good news for most New York Knicks Fans. I’m sure there is still quite a few of you out there that wanted this guys to play for the Knicks this year. I never supported him and I’m very excited about this.
He is finally out and not our problem.

With our luck if we do qualify for the playoffs this year, there is a very good chance we’ll see him with the Celtics. But i think we can worry about that when the time comes.

Good news to report. Chicago Police have made an arrest in the alleged killer of Eddie Curry’s baby’s mama and child. Assuming it’s the boyfriend that earlier in the day had an altercation with the family.

Now that all the rumors about David Lee leaving NYC for Portland, Toronto, Kansas City or where ever else they had him going each day are over… We here at realknicksfans.com can take a deep collective long breath….Ahh now lets all focus on what we got out of the trades.

Damn I guess now we can take over this guys site if he is willing to part with it. That shit is hilarious. Well I hope we don’t have the same problems that the Cavs fans had with Big Shot Larry. He has improved his shooting percentage over the last year, but he has also spent a big part of this season on the bench as Vinny Del Negro pretty much shut him down.
But Larry Hughes for those bench warmers we let go of is not a bad deal (I think).
We also get another crazy tatted up basketball player. We are definitely in top 5 teams with the worst tattoos.

We got rid of Malik Rose, who I never really cared for anyway.
I always felt that he was lazy and didn’t care about being on the court or off either way.

So we let go of 3 guys and got 2 back, that means there is an open roster space. Hmm Could this be the call up for our friend Patrick Ewing Jr. from Las Vegas? I hope so, we’ve been pushing for that all season long.

modern day whole car top to bottom burner

Stepped onto the train yesterday with my Steve’s Bagels coffee and Daily news in hand and just as I snuck in front of an old lady to grab a seat i spotted this….Kmart bought out the entire inside advertising panels for one side of the whole car. I was pretty shocked to see it since i have seen no other advertising and only got the drop that they would be available at Kmart while watching the pre-game the night before. I was even more shocked when that night on another line i saw the same thing, and AGAIN this morning.

Needless to say Kmart is droppping some money here. They probably think this could be the next Starbury or something. It won’t. Al has no where near the following that Steph once had in this city.

I wish Al and his biz venture good luck, as we posted a few weeks ago the sneakers are not that bad. Will probably snatch a pair over the weekend, their only like 35 bux and the economy could use some help.
