Al Harrington or Wilson Chandler should have put him on his ass last night in 4th quarter to help them stop the Lakers dramatic comeback. The Knicks played great, shot well, defended with enthusiasm but just could’nt hold the lead down the stretch. Knicks lose 116-114 with a super strong performance considering it was the second half of a back to back night.

To the delight of 4 people in Arco arena and 3 back home in NYC Jerome James aka Big Snacks played 3 minutes in last nights slaughter of the Kings. Big Snacks will try to break last season’s total playing time of 5 minutes tomorrow night in Phoenix. Game 2 see’s the knicks enter the planet orange at the U.S. airways center where Mike D will make his homecoming for the first time as Knicks head coach. Look for the Knicks to beast against a weak Suns offense.

With the not so surprising news that Cut Mobley is going to “retire” in the near future, were hoping this will give some room to PE JR. to return to the Knicks. After an impressive training camp and preseason where he showed off his quality defense that could give the Knicks the spark and hustle they need of the bench. Being a St. Johns alum and season ticket holder i got to follow him through his 2 years at Gtown and was really impressed by his hustle and game smarts. Of course im pulling for him to get back on the team because i love the story, but I always thought he could be a good player in the NBA because of his hustle and heart.

The Knicks play undermanned in Cleveland tonight, lets see what they do.

You think Nike wants Lebron to come to NY? WITNESS what they did last night with the total parade they put on outside the Garden prior to the game as a big fat YES. They leased out and graphiced hot dog carts, flash mobbed the entrance for what should be a soon coming web vid and gave out boxes and boxes of WITNESS t-shirts. This wasnt just to sell the new big apple 6’s, this was the ultimate confirmation that the men and women in Beaverton want Lebron to come to NY. It’s good for their business and that’s good for us.

The Knicks will release their new and improved (unimproved?) squad tomorrow night at the Garden when they host King James and the Cavs. To any new yorker with half a brain,the moves last week are clearly a step in the right direction for the franchise’s future whether we get Lebron or not. Theirs also a good chance we got better this year, especially if Q continues to shoot the ball well.

I cant wait to get the “Twenty-Ten” going tomorrow night. Surprised or not but at post time tickets were still available. Go snatch up while you can.
